Do you want to know, for certain, how you can have Eternal Life? Are you weary of the way the world is going and long for a better way? You can have all of these through life in Jesus Christ! Let's walk through how this can happen to you!

1. Realize you are a sinner (do things that violate any of God's laws) and separated from God.

But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused Him to reject you and not listen to your prayers. -Isaiah 59:2

For all have sinned and come short of the God's glory. -Romans 3:23

...for no one living is righteous before You (God). -Psalms 143:2

2. Confess your sins to God and He will forgive them (make them as if they never happened).

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:8-9

3. Realize that you cannot work your way into Heaven.

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not of works, so that no one can boast. -Ephesians 2: 8-9 (emphasis added)

He saved us, not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior. And so, since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life. -Titus 3: 5-7

4. And that God, through His Son, Jesus, is your only hope.

But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

God made the One (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God. - 2 Corinthians 5:21

5. How do we receive God's Son?

But to all who have received him--those who believe in his name--he has given the right to become God's children. -John 1:12

For this is the way God loved the world: he gave his one and only Son that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. The one who believes in Him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. - John 3:16-18

This means we must each come to God the same way: (1) as a sinner who recognizes his sinfulness, (2) realizes no human works can result in salvation, and (3) relies totally on Christ alone by faith alone for our salvation.

How do I receive/trust Christ as my personal Savior?

If you would like to receive and trust Christ as your personal Savior, you may need to express your faith in Christ by a simple prayer acknowledging your sinfulness, accepting His forgiveness and putting your faith in Christ for your salvation.

So, what do I do next!?

If you have just trusted in Christ, you need to learn about your new life and how to walk with the Lord.
